Michael Fassbender Talks X-Men: First Class & Young Magneto
On the press tour Michael Fassbender reveals the peculiarities of his personage as the young magnet in ‘X-Men: First Class’, he also relates about his relations with Charles Xavier and their garments.
We intend to return the X-Men, at the very least the preceding generation of Professor X’s mutants in X-Men: First Class. Considering the First Class cast pictures of the last month and the appearance of the new trailer last week, there is some kind of conjecture about Fox’s supposition to shoot the film.
One of the main characters, Michael Fassbender, enacts the young Erik Lehnsherr, after a while he is turning into a violent Magneto. Working together with James McAvoy and January Jones, Michael Fassbender gives the interviews within which he is asked a lot of questions concerning his “weighty” role being master of magnetic effects.
MTV and Metro were lucky to take interview with such a celebrity as Michael Fassbender. They questioned him about his attitude to the personage he plays and where he gets such a magnificent inspiration. In his answers he reveals that the source of the materials is the comics.
On Fassbender’s mind, his personage’s relations with Charles Xavier are not just friendly or scholastic, but most likely they have a student character.
“I’m a pupil, not teacher. The teacher is the Charlie Boy.. He calls us together to perform our final powers.”
The question is whether the producer Bryan Singer story will probe the history of Erik, when his family was thrown into the Nazi internment camp, like it was in the first film of X-Men?
“The most exciting things happening to him take place after the war. He falls in love with a gypsy girl from the concentration camp. They get married and give birth to a baby. After a little the horrible happens: the baby dies when fire captures the whole house. Magnet becomes crazy and murders everybody, and his scared wife leaves him. So when we encounter him in the movie, he is lonesome.”
Fassbender describes the different philosophies between Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier:
“Xharles [Professor X] is Martin Luther King, and Erik Lehnsherr [Magneto] is Malcolm X – two different approaches to reach their goals. Erik doesn’t confide the humans and states that they should be abolished. It has some features of Homo Sapiens, Neanderthals.. Haven’t we speeded up this next stage of evolution?
We get acquainted with personages, we watch the outcome of their relations and their destroyed ides. If X-Men: First Class is the new trilogy, we may suppose that the ways of Magneto and Professor wouldn’t be departed.
We have a tangy bit of news regarding the Fassbender’s costume. He unveils that there are only two Magneto helmets in the film and the X-uniform that may be noticed in trailer of X-Men: First Class. Above is the photo when the personages are joined as a team.
The screen debut arrives on the 3rd of June, 2011.
