Beast in X-Men: First Class is a character of Nicholas Hoult

beast x-menNicholas Hoult had revealed his intentions to enact Beast in ‘X-Men: First Class’, and told why the film would be like James Bond film.

To become a glamorous guy Marcus in the 2001 movie About a Boy wasn’t a kid stuff for Nicolas Hoult, the 21-year-old English actor. Last year he played in Clash of the Titans, having acted the main role of the personage Jack Giant Killer. This summer in X-Men: First Class he will play the role of young Hank McCoy/Beast.

Since the revealed official X-Men: First Class trailer, the inspiration for Matthew Vaughn’s  X-Men was  well improved.  And Hoult’s recent comments had enforced that matter.

Majority of fans regard X-Men: The Last Stand to be a rather unconvincing entry into the franchise, although, the character of Beast was significantly differed from what was originally composed by Stan Lee. Nevertheless, Hoult’s version will have difference  due to feline constitution (that was in the original comics the consequence of Beast’s second mutation). The young actor told Bleeding Cool that the Frasier star gives him the inspiration.

That is what Hoult said about Beast in X-Men: First Class:

“He is definitely very smart and discovers colossal inventions. But there are some situations where he has to be normal and flexible… And acts where he must be his own – the Beast. Also there’s a JeckyII and Hyde aspects, where his capabilities frighten him.

“In ['X-Men: The Last Stand'], Beast had been working long time as a politician. But he is a young scientist in ['X-Men: First Class']. And when there is this change to watch, one may experience furiousness and whirl of feelings.“

Upon Hoult’s comments Beast wasn’t an assured mutant. Vaughn (who is a dunce according to Hoult’s words ) calls for mix of First Class that would have Twilight adult drama and political set-up in the vein of the Cuban Missile Crisis drama, Thirteen days.

Vaughn had earlier claimed that First Class is some kind of a film having both features of X-Men and James Bond. Hoult proves that it was pretty interesting when he had found some similarities with James Bond. While shooting a film it was a suitable treatment to use. What he related:

“The idea of James Bond is convenient. For sure, ‘A Team’ cannot satisfy ‘First Class’. This is a picture that is based on the period of 1960s. Drama and blockbuster are combined here; it shows the relations between Magneto and Xavier. Although it is epic, the personages are taken into the account.

“First Class is present in the list of the Most Anticipated Movies of 2011 with a main star cast: James McAvoy, Hoult, Rose Byrne, Michael Fassbender, Jason Flemyng, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, and Jennifer Lawrence. The film is planned to come out on the 3rd of June of this summer. ”
